It's a week after Christmas and we're still beaming with holiday spirit so things have been a little chaotic around our house. The kids are jacked up on sugar almost all of the time it seems with all the holiday get-togethers and parties, which means that they are bouncing off the walls and not listening very well.
I've written about the importance of breakfast few times on this blog and I still can't stress it enough. Whether or not you eat breakfast (and what you include in it) will set the stage for your day nutrition-wise. It may even prevent you from unhealthy snacking later on (which can help with weight management).

Kids who eat well perform better in school because they are able to concentrate, focus, and learn during school hours as well as at home. If you find that your child's performance at school is slipping, grades are suffering or he or she is lacking the energy to get through the school day or complete homework, it could have something to do with your child's diet or lack of nutrition.
