Surprise.....I did some more shopping in Nova Scotia and found a some fabulous vintage goodies. This time I was searching for some decor for my son's room. I am planning on redecorating this fall and I wanted to find a few pieces that add some personality to the space.
I have been on holiday in Nova Scotia for two weeks and have been shopping {of course} at a few of my favourite antique shops. One of my favourite ones appears to be closed this summer...SOB... but I have found such pretty things at some of my other top spots. Stay tuned for a post about each store very soon! I have watched Cityline forever and have always loved the décor and DIY segments. So the fact that I was on there today totally blows my mind. I can’t even tell you how great it feels to be given such an amazing opportunity to do something I am so passionate about. This has been a dream of mine forever. Honestly, forever. And now it was happening, which was beyond exciting but also totally nerve wracking!
Some of my best childhood memories are from the drives I took with my parents along the Lighthouse Route each summer. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the vintage and décor shopping is amazing.
This summer my mom and I recreated our trip, stopping at our old favourite shops and discovering some new gems.

I took advantage of my boys’ nap time the other afternoon and went back to the shop where I found my first Nova Scotia treasures to take another look around and I found some more vintage loveliness. The prices are out of this world amazing.
I can’t believe that today marks two weeks into my holiday in Nova Scotia. We have had so much fun celebrating milestones, playing at the beach and, of course, shopping.

Last week my husband and I got away overnight to celebrate our anniversary at White Point Beach Resort, where we got married five years ago. It was a short but sweet escape.
When I was young I loved visiting my grandparents in The Valley. Their houses, first in a town aptly called Paradise, and later in Ernest Buckler’s home in Bridgetown were old, beautiful and packed with antiques. I loved exploring all of the rooms, peeking inside of closets and snooping in cabinets. There was a treasure around every corner. One thing I loved was the collection colourful tiny bottles that lined the window sills.
