Home Is Where Your Heart Is

If You're With Family, You're Always Home

When I was a child, I grew up living in the same house. My parents did not sell our family home until I was out of university. It houses every one of my childhood memories. I can still picture my pink Strawberry Shortcake themed bedroom. I can remember roller skating in the basement, playing in the woods behind our backyard, and the living room that we barely allowed to sit in and in which we were NEVER allowed to eat or drink.

Urban Wall Decals

a fun and modern way to add pattern to your walls

Are you looking for a modern way to add some pattern to your walls but are a bit afraid of wallpaper or stencils? Wall decals may be a great solution for you. Decals have come a long way in the past few years and Urban Walls, a Canadian company, has some amazing designs for any room in your home. I love how current and stylish they are. Decorating With Maps

Travel Themed Home Decor

My husband and I love to travel. In fact, he asked me to move to Europe with him the first night we met. I said yes and we did move to London not long after. I had already lived in Sweden and loved the chance to travel more. We explored a new country pretty much every month. It was amazing. He proposed to me in the courtyard of the Louvre in Paris.

When we got engaged we realized that we wanted to raise a family back home. So we left our travelling dreams behind and started new dreams: two adorable boys.

Royal Style

Decor Inspired By William and Kate's Upcoming Wedding

Okay I admit it. I am excited for the royal wedding. As a girl who always dreamed she would grow up to be a princess {hello, my name means princess for crying out loud} a royal wedding has me daydreaming about all things royal. Including decor.

I know, I know. You are thinking, who wants a tea set with William and Kate’s faces plastered all over it. But the royal wedding has not only inspired collector spoons and tea cozies. It has introduced me to some really fun and stylish royal design.

Shopping Vintage Décor

Vintage bottles add style to any space.

When I was young I loved visiting my grandparents in The Valley. Their houses, first in a town aptly called Paradise, and later in Ernest Buckler’s home in Bridgetown were old, beautiful and packed with antiques. I loved exploring all of the rooms, peeking inside of closets and snooping in cabinets. There was a treasure around every corner. One thing I loved was the collection colourful tiny bottles that lined the window sills.
