I was challenged to create a Pinterest-worthy LemonAid stand. Inspired by my love of everything vintage, and by my mom's gorgeous country place by the ocean, I designed an old fashioned lemonade stand. I created one that could be set up at a summer party with family or friends, but the plastic glasses could easily be replaced with paper cups for a traditional roadside stand.
My boys' birthdays are three weeks apart, one at the end of June and one in early July—one of the busiest possible times of year to plan a party. Luckily, they are young enough that they are happy to have a joint one.

I am a huge fan of IKEA, so when they challenged me to transform a space in my home using only textiles as a part of their new Quick and Easy textile campaign, I jumped at the chance. It was difficult choice, because, if I am honest, so many rooms in our home still need some love. I narrowed it down to two spaces—our older son's bedroom and our basement family room. The winner, due to lighting issues, was the basement family room/guest room.
Finally it's spring, which means it's time to start thinking of home renovation projects. I already have a huge list of things I want to change in my home to make it more functional and beautiful, but I get stuck when it comes to making green home renovation choices.
As much as I love the pretty, the reality is I need to focus on lowering utility bills, increasing my property value, and making our home a healthier and safe environment for my children.
