I am a huge fan of IKEA, so when they challenged me to transform a space in my home using only textiles as a part of their new Quick and Easy textile campaign, I jumped at the chance. It was difficult choice, because, if I am honest, so many rooms in our home still need some love. I narrowed it down to two spaces—our older son's bedroom and our basement family room. The winner, due to lighting issues, was the basement family room/guest room.
I love decorating for Christmas, so when IKEA asked me to participate in their 'Help Spread Jul' event, it was a very fast yes! Jul is Swedish for Christmas, by the way {It's one of the few Swedish words I recall from living in Stockholm}. It is no secret that I love IKEA and I look there every year for holiday decor. I have to say though, that this year the selection is spectacular.
I have recently discovered Royal Design Studio and fell in love with their line of stylish and pretty stencils. My first project was a bookcase that I loved so I was feeling brave enough to try something a little different.
