Help Me choose a craft—tree, sticks or words

It's no secret that I love being creative. And now that my sons are getting older, I get to share this passion with them. Watching their pride when they create something—whether it's a playdough snake, a painting or a model car—is amazing. I really try to make each project we make together have meaning. Whether it connects us to an event, a passion of theirs or a vacation, it's so special to have a story connected to each piece.

I love the idea of creating a cute and fun table for children at family holiday dinners. There are a few things to keep in mind when designing a table for kids. I recently shared my tips for creating fun and interactive table décor on Cityline.

I think choosing a theme is a great starting point. I went with a Frosty the Snowman theme because it appeals to children of all ages.

Kitchen Reno Update

A Backsplash Adds Splash

My kitchen reno that I thought would last for 3-4 weeks is now in its fifth month. The cabinets went in quickly but I had an issue with my counter which held things up for ages. Then barfy children and life in general got in the way of everything else. Our beautiful backsplash was finally installed last week.

The backsplash has added a new step to the reno though. The colours do not match the existing wall colour, which is Behr’s Salty Tear.

So I am going to change it to my favourite Benjamin Moore blue, Harbor Haze.
