I love coming up with unique Christmas decor ideas almost as much as I love creative holiday wrap. In my opinion, there is no such thing as too many Christmas trees. We will have one massive real one in the living room, a smaller one in the basement family room and several of these small fake (or faux, if you want to be fancy) FEJKA ones from IKEA. They are the perfect size to perch on a table or shelf and so much fun to decorate.

You can keep it simple and add battery-operated lights like these ones in our living room:
Or add some bows made with baker's twine and set it on a rustic tray like this for a country look:

The possibilities are endless. And because of the size, you can switch it up every year without breaking the bank.They are a great option for children's bedrooms as well.
How would you decorate a mini tree?
Yup you read that title right. Did you know that duck tape comes in a ton of patterns and colours? You can literally get it in everything from polka dots to your favourite boy band. They have a bunch of fun winter and holiday themed patterns as well, so I thought it would be fun to wrap Christmas presents with duck tape rather than paper.

You can purchase boxes and the duck tape from Michaels. I like to repurpose, so I also used smaller boxes I had around the house. The duck tape covers any images or writing the box may have on it.

Pretty fun, right? Honestly, it could not be any easier. Simply wrap the box in the tape starting on the sides, taking care to match the pattern as you go. I like to cut a large piece of tape, line it up on the front of the box and smooth it around the other sides. Trim any access and have the ends overlap on the back.
Embellish with ribbon or yarn {which I am kind of obsessed with this year} and you are done.
Duck tape also comes in sheets that are great for wrapping plain gift bags. They are peel and stick and easy to re-apply as needed. You can use the rolls of tape for bags as well.

Christmas is my favourite holiday. Possibly my favourite thing is to wrap presents. This year I have several holiday gift wrapping ideas to share, starting with this cute little Rudolph gift box.
Give Gifts In Containers Like This and It's Like Giving Two Gifts In One
Here's what you need:
-a small 4x4 inch box
-brown and white felt
-two brown pipe cleaners
-red glitter scrapbook paper
-light brown patterned scrapbook paper
-ribbon
-black marker
-double sided tape
-glue or glue gun
How To:
1. Assemble the box.
2. Cut the brown and white felt pieces. Glue to the white felt onto the brown to form the ears. Attach them to the tab of the box's top using glue. Make sure to make the brown felt pieces longer so when they are glued onto the box, the white is above the edge of the box front when it's closed.
2. Bend one large pipe cleaner. Trim another one into two smaller pieces and use those to create antlers on either end of the long one.
3. Open the lid of the box and slide the pipe cleaner in place. Close lid. You can glue it in place if you like, but you don't have to.
4. Create the face using the brown and red scrapbook paper and black marker for the eyes.
5. Add a ribbon to the bottom using double sided tape.
