Pinterest is one of the most popular sites for collecting and sharing images. It allows you to search for photos from other users or to pin photos from other sites, which you can then organize into collections called boards. It allows you to store photos for future reference. When you click on the photo it will bring you to the original source {most of the time} which is great when looking for sources of items.
Houzz is an online interior design community with images and articles from design industry professionals. You can browse rooms by category, create idea books, and take part in discussions. You can post images of your design work here. This site is also a shopping resource for decor.
DecorPad is another site worth checking out. Again, it is a design community where you can share photos, create a library of your favourites and chat with other members. They have a paint gallery which is helpful when making colour choices.
Both print and online only design magazines offer amazing resources for those looking for decorating ideas. Some of the best are House and Home, Style at Home, Dabble, Lonny and Rue.
If you are looking for inspiration for children's rooms then Project Nursery is a great resource. It includes photo galleries, video tutorials, room tours, DIY projects, party decor, and more. Members generate a lot of the content. Where the other sites contain mostly images of spaces designed by professionals, here you will see many examples of home owners designing and sharing their nurseries.
