I love smoothies. Green smoothies, in particular.
While I was in Playa del Carmen, Mexico last month, I found myself flocking to the lobby bar each morning after breakfast. Most partons at the lobby bar were ordering their morning mimosa or mojito, and then there was me ordering my Spa Life Smoothie.
Smoothies are a great way to soak up many nutrients in a short amount of time. They are one of my favourite snacks to enjoy each morning. They are great alternative to that extra cup of coffee. Offering that same great pick-me-up effect while also hydrating your body.
If you love green smoothies, you will want to tuck this recipe into your back pocket!
1 cup spinach
1 ripe banana (the more brown sugar spots, the better)
1 cup pineapple
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 cup coconut water
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
Note: If you are looking to enjoy this as a breakfast on the fly, add in a 1 to 2 tbsp of hemp seeds, chia seeds or flax for added protein and fiber.
