To mark the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, TD employees are speaking out about their first-hand experiences in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Following the much-publicized suicides of Jamie Hubley and others like him, this candid video further opens the dialogue on bullying and teen suicide as it affects LGBT youth.

In response to Rick Mercer’s recent rant and the optimistic It Get Better Campaign, another gay Canadian icon has spoken up about coming out. Former Kids in the Hall star, comedian Scott Thompson, had another message for this generation of homosexuals facing bullying from peers: grow a pair.
As if Jamey Rodemeyer, the gay teen who took his own life, hadn't been through enough, his bullies have continued to taunt him beyond the grave.
In suburban Buffalo, the bullying continued at a school function immediately following the 14 year old's wake.
Last fall several famous faces -- from Ellen DeGeneres to President Barack Obama -- participated in an anti-bullying campaign called “It Gets Better” via YouTube video to let LGBTs (lesbian, gay, bi or transsexuals) know they aren't alone. But there is a sad casualty.
