RECALL: Old Navy Toddler Girl Aqua Sock

Potential Fall Hazard

Old Navy, Health Canada, and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) have jointly recalled the Toddler Girl Aqua Socks (style #896452) in pink and purple sizes 5-11. The slip-on shoes have less traction when worn on wet or smooth surfaces such as hard wood or tile, therefore posing a potential fall hazard.

Health Canada has received one report of an incident related to the use of the Socks.

Customers are advised to stop using these shoes and return them to any Old Navy store for a full refund. Those who return the shoes before November 9, 2012 will also receive a coupon for $10 off their next purchase at Old Navy. Contact [email protected] if you plan to mail the item.

For further information, customers may contact Old Navy toll-free at 1-866-580-9930 between 9 AM and 9 PM ET Monday through Friday, Saturday between 12 PM and 7 PM ET, and Sunday between 12 PM and 6 PM.

From February 2012 through June 2012, approximately 3,800 shoes have been sold in Canada at Old Navy stores and through online orders on the Canadian Old Navy website.
