Child Drives Drunk Dad

I Was Driving Good

We all know it's responsible to appoint a designated driver when we knock back a few drinks... Well, a Michigan dad just that -- except his DD happened to be his 9-year-old daughter.

Brownstown Township's 39-year-old Shawn Weimer was caught on surveillance camera bragging to the clerk at a gas station about his minor's skill behind the wheel. The girl herself followed up proudly with, "And I parked."

Incredibly, when the police eventually pulled over the Weimers' van, the little girl in the booster seat said, "What did you stop me for? I was driving good." She had even used her turn signal, twice (which, admittedly, is more than I can say for a good many Torontonian motorists).

Weimer, who'd been drinking whiskey all night and refused a breath test, faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted of second-degree child abuse charges.

Not surprisingly, he also has a previous for stolen property, unarmed robbery, and firearm offences.
