Possible Contamination

heinz baby food

Heinz Canada has voluntarily recalled the following 128ml baby food pouches for fear that a defect in packaging could lead to contamination by “spoilage microorganisms”:

  • Peas zucchini spinach
  • Sweet baby vegetables
  • Beef bolognese with vegetables
  • Beef butternut squash rice spinach
  • Tuna sweet corn chowder
  • Butternut squash apricot peas couscous

Signs of illness from spoiled food include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

While Health Canada claims the risk of contamination is “very low to remote,” and no illnesses have been reported in relation to the product, customers are advised to dispose of the affected pouches.

For further information, customers may contact Heinz Canada at 1-888-570-1675 or via email at [email protected].
