Do you remember? Comedian, television writer and Gemini Award winner, Rick Mercer does. That's why he's lending to Operation Raise a Flag and urging Canadians to do the same this Remembrance Day.
The campaign honours our country's war veterans. By purchasing a small flag, your personalized message of thanks will be imprinted and given to vets. Proceeds from the flags go to the Veterans Comfort Fund at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, funding equipment and community outings for veteran residents.
So, let's honour our past vets by giving them the best possible quality of life at Sunnybrook.
Flags come in two sizes, and range from $20 or $50 per donation. Organizers are hoping to sell 5,000 flags. You can get yours here.
