It seems like not that long ago but it’s been at least eight years since I was sitting under the Mediterranean sun in a Greek olive grove at a long table filled with tourists and locals speaking as many languages as there were people. There were bowls of just-picked olives along the table and I’ll never forget how warm they were when you ate them. At first I wondered if our hosts had warmed them but then realized they were warm from the sun — never having actually been inside a factory or a can.
This recipe for roast chicken is one of my favourite slow cooker recipes ever and the exact reason why I may never roast a chicken in my oven ever again because it's that yummy.
Just because it's the summer doesn't mean we're any less busy. Okay, we might be a bit less busy, but I'm still working and shuffling the kids from camp to play dates and dance, cheerleading, Taekwondo, and baseball. This means the slow cooker is still my friend, especially in the summer when turning on the oven for hours is just a bad idea.

I will admit, I am not always a big fan of leftovers. Unless they are well received in my children's lunchboxes the next day or I figure out a way to re-purpose them, leftovers sometimes languish in the back of my fridge (unless it's something chocolate and then it doesn't stand a chance).
While I am all for deli-style chicken salad sandwiches on thick slices of white bread, sometimes the part of my brain that reminds me I need to be eating a little bit healthier pipes up and insists that some of my favourite dishes can be made with health in mind. It turns out, this recipe for Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad is as yummy as the original and while I'm going to show you how I make Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps I also have to tell you that I'll eat this stuff out of a bowl on it's own, over rice or spread on toast. It's that yummy!
My husband loves wings but unlike some people around here (namely Gav Martell), I’ve never been able to perfect making crispy saucy wings at home. In my mind, this Buffalo Chicken Soup is the next best thing and because it comes together so quickly it’s a perfect weeknight dinner.
When we first started including the kids in our take-out Chinese food order we always started with Chicken Fried Rice. While we have since expanded their palate to include many more items, Chicken Fried Rice still remains a family favourite.
