Inside-Out Cheeseburgers

Make Them In The Same Amount Of Time It Takes To Separate Frozen Boxed Burgers

The weather has been fantastic lately and when it feels like spring outside, I start to sweet-talk my husband into firing up the BBQ.

My kids love hamburgers, but did you know that you can make homemade burgers in the same amount of time that it takes to try and separate frozen boxed hamburgers from each other?

Best of all, when you make your own, you can stuff them with anything you want!

My kids love this Inside-Out Cheeseburger and while, technically, they are made from scratch (how very non-canned-soup-mom of me), I won’t tell anyone how easy they are if you don’t!

Ingredients

1 lb extra lean ground beef
1/3 cup 1-minute oatmeal
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1 tsp. salt
1-2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 egg, whisked lightly

Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl.

With clean hands mix ingredients well.

Shape with hands into burgers.

BBQ to your preference and serve on buns with your favourite toppings.

Yes, it REALLY is that easy!

For a more adult version of this, try sautéed onions and mushrooms with blue cheese or any other combination that you can come up with!

For a healthier version, and to encourage your kids to eat more vegetables, add a grated carrot and/or a grated zucchini.
