Disney Frozen Troll Rock and Snowball Truffles

An Easy Budget-Friendly Frozen-Themed Party Food

Frozen-Snowballs-And-Troll-Balls-Recipe

Just last weekend we hosted a Frozen-themed birthday party for my youngest daughter's 5th birthday party. My favourite part of the planning (besides organizing a surprise visit from Elsa and Anna!) was by far working with my daughters to come up with party food themed around their favourite Frozen characters including Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven, and the Trolls.

The whole menu can be found over in my Top Ten Budget Friendly Frozen Party Food list but one of the biggest hits were these Troll Rocks and Snowballs which BONUS are the same recipe!

Simply crush the Oreos.

Mix in the cream cheese.

Roll into balls.

Melt your chocolate.

Roll half the balls in the white chocolate and the other half in the milk chocolate.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Ingredients:

1 box Oreos (approx. 300g)
1 box cream cheese (approx. 250g), softened
1 ½ cup white chocolate chips
1 ½ cup milk chocolate (or semi-sweet chocolate) chips

Directions:

Crush Oreos in a large bowl. I like to crush them in my hands while putting them into the bowl then use the flat base of a cup to crush them finer. The kids LOVE this job!

Add softened cream cheese and mix until combined. Tip: this is easiest with your hands.

Roll into ping-pong-sized balls or just a bit smaller and refrigerate on a cookie sheet for approx. 15 minutes.

Melt white chocolate in microwave — DO NOT BURN.

Roll half the balls in the milk chocolate and place back on the cookie sheet.

Melt milk chocolate in microwave — DO NOT BURN.

Roll the remaining balls in the milk chocolate and place back on the cookie sheet.

  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

When ready to serve label your milk chocolate covered balls as Troll Rocks and your white chocolate covered balls as Snowballs using these Frozen Themed Menu Cards with Snowball holders.

Enjoy!
