When we started our garden eight years ago, I planted rhubarb. Every spring since, it has returned. It's stalking me.
Get it, rhubarb stalks? Sorry about that.
I hate for food go to waste, but frankly I'm running out of inspiration. My auntie Barb makes jam and all sorts of tart and tasty treats with her crop. Alas, I'm no Rhubarbara. Rhubarb Crisp, Strawberry Rhubarb Crostata, and stewed rhubarb are the extent of my rhubarb-etoire. (Is it just me or does the word rhubarb not only look weird, but when said repeatedly, it starts to sound ridiculous too?)
