This summer marks the six year anniversary of my appointment as "Party Mummy" here at YMC. So, I'm taking a moment to look back at why I love writing and living this blog.
Dissed by the ladies who lunch? Feeling flabby, frumpy, old and ugly? Is your boss a weinie who says “Nice work Karen!” while staring at your boobs...and your name is Jennifer!? Did you stupidly go bathing suit shopping?? Or do you just feel like a big ol' cry baby? If you answered yes to any or all, or if you just feel crappy, sappy or kind of unhappy* you are absolutely entitled to throw yourself a Pity Party.
... here's the email (in all it's rambling-ness) I sent to Erica in hopes of becoming the YMC Party Mummy Blogger. Thanks for choosing me Erica. And, for putting up with my puns and verbosity and obsessive use of smiley faces. Oh man, remember how drunk we got right after this photo was taken? Exactly two years ago to the day, my first Party Mummy post was published. It was clearly a momentous event, as fireworks exploded across North America (mostly in that southern bit) presumably to celebrate the occasion.
