I used to work for Canada's largest charity, The Canadian Cancer Society. The society does all sorts of great stuff for people including driving people to their appointments, offering support and information on treatment and diagnosis. It's a great charity that has helped my family in times of struggle. Having worked for the society for many years, I am always interested in how other charities work, so this story about Gaga's Born This Way charity really caught my eye.
Last week, Oprah sat down for a two-part interview with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong on her OWN channel. The interview was at times both painful to watch (Lance seemed really to be trying hard to come across as honest which made him seem to be even bigger of a liar), and strange (Oprah, at times seemed to fawn over Armstrong). But what has come about since the interview? Mostly hurt and anger. The interview was the most watched TV in Canada—over 2.5 million viewers—and had everyone on Twitter talking. This was the thing we were talking about last week.
I might accuse you of living under a rock if you haven't heard about the "scandal" around Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. But I sat and waded through all the news pieces over the last two weeks and something always smelled fishy. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. But then it hit me.
So, just an update for you guys. This situation has gone from bad to OMGWTFBBQSVU.
A Los Angeles judge Friday, ordered an investigation into the well-being of Jacko's three kids (Paris, Prince—aka Royal—and Blanket), and that matriarch Katherine is handing guardianship over to Tito Jackson's adult son, TJ.
Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered that each of the children be interviewed separately and that the ONLY person who gets to see the interviews is the judge himself. No lawyers. No plaintiffs. No one.
