Sigh. Another day, another insane tabloid report. This one claims that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore may have reconciled. This past weekend, they both attended their Kabbalah Rabbi's 40th birthday party, where guests said they had a very long (60 seconds!) embrace when they saw each other. It was also reported that Demi sat and stared at Ashton like "...a lovesick puppy."
It gets worse.
Ashton was asked to speak at the event, and he reportedly broke down and said "...this past year, I've made all these horrendous mistakes..." while Demi, who was in the audience, sat stunned and silent.
The hug. The tears. This has tongues wagging around town—the tabs are of course calling this the first step to reconciliation. We all know how easy it is for the tabs and gossip mags to blow everything way out of proportion, but what's the deal here? Are we supposed to applaud Demi for her excellent ability to forgive her 6 times cheating husband? Or are we supposed to laud her for being "stupid" and going back to a guy who clearly was a jerk to her?
Demi was in rehab earlier this year looking gaunt and incredibly unwell, so regardless of what the tabs want the spin to be here, I just want to tell her, "Demi, think about this. It's clear that this whole situation knocked you on your ass. Is this dude really good for you?"
I personally don't think I would have it in me to take my husband back after all that cheating—so spill it—would YOU take your husband back if he cheated in such a public and epic way?
