The Ongoing Lindsay Lohan Saga

It just gets weirder and weirder

The Ongoing Lindsay Lohan Saga

In another round of "I couldn't make this up even if I tried," I'm sure that by now, you've all heard of Lilo's catfight at an NYC nightclub last week. Hot off the heels of the most incredible reviews I've ever seen for a made-for-TV-movie, Lilo oops! did it again—this time, punching a woman in the face in a nightclub after a Justin Bieber concert. And just today (Monday) the IRS have seized ALL of her assets. But it doesn't end there. The Lilo mess isn't going to get much better and I'm starting to wonder if everyone's enjoyment of the train wreck isn't going to end the same way as Amy Winehouse's did earlier this year.

So, back to the story. Last week, after the concert in question, Lindsay was at a nightclub with friends when a woman apparently approached her. Initial reports were that Lindsay kept yelling at the woman to back off before finally punching her in the face. An arrest warrant was issued, and Lindsay turned herself in and then headed off to jail—doing the "perp walk" Friday morning. Lindsay has feined innocence ever since and the woman, Tiffany Mitchell maintains that she is a psychic and she had a reading to give Lindsay. Ms. Mitchell has apparently hired Gloria Allred and is suing Lohan.

News Saturday is that Lindsay is hiring a PI because she feels she is being "set up" and that the woman wants to take money from Lindsay somehow. Oh brother. After the altercation, Lindsay even said that she thought the 'gypsy' was trying to steal her purse. REALLY? Gypsy? Are we joking with that?

And then, Monday came and the IRS seized all her income and assets due to over $230k in owed back taxes from 2009 and 2010. Apparently, Charlie Sheen loaned her $100,000 but it wasn't enough to keep the tax man at bay. What a life this girl is making. And she must have honestly made more than $100k for that Liz and Dick movie monstrosity...so where is all her money going?

I don't know, though, because I see this media firestorm as another step towards an early grave for Lindsay. Hundreds of people around her all the time, and she'll just die some sad, lonely way because everyone has been too busy gawking instead of helping her. It's a shame too, because she's had so much excellent potential.

I guess we need to wait and see, and stop buying into all the hype, even if it's created by Lindsay herself. And don't even get me started on her parents and their involvement/lack of parenting skills here.

So, spill it! What do you think about Lindsay Lohan's ongoing troubles with the law?
