Kelsey Grammer Takes Newborn to Playboy Mansion Party

Shaking my head at this one

Kelsey Grammer Takes Newborn to Playboy Mansion Party

So, Hef had his annual Playboy Halloween party over the weekend—a party filled with all sorts of celebrities, booze, possibly sex and well, The Grotto. One celebrity in attendance was Fraiser's Kelsey Grammer along with his new wife Kayte Walsh and their newborn daughter Faith. Yep. You heard that right, newborn. My head is shaking furiously at this one especially because I'm a firm believer in not letting your life change TOO much when having a baby, but as the "responsible" adult, dad should draw the line somewhere. I'm thinking that somewhere is the Playboy Mansion.

TMZ first broke the story and had a photo of the baby, sound asleep on the floor of the party being minded by a girl drinking some sort of cocktail:

Like I said, this is a head shaker to me. Kelsey jumped on this really quickly, and released the following statement today (via Jezebel) (Tuesday):

"Kayte is breast feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted babysitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us. We enjoyed the party with a few of our friends, the baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight."

OK. I'm a pretty new age mama, we've taken Henry to all sorts of fun events that he's thoroughly enjoyed and we've been able to have some semblance of normalcy. Hell, when he was like three weeks old, we took him to a pub in town for dinner after my mum's funeral. He loved seeing the live Scottish band play and I got to enjoy a much needed pint of Guinness. But the Playboy Mansion is not The Caledonian.

I've seen babies at all sorts of gatherings, even this year at Blissdom—a super cute Kermit baby and mama Miss Piggy at the costumes and karaoke party. But the Playboy Mansion? If you don't' have a trusted babysitter, I would weigh what sort of event this party would be. Dinner party? Sure. Small house party? Why not. Hell, even a concert (we've seen many small tykes at shows either sleeping or watching with their protective head gear on). But I think the Playboy Mansion is a little much.

And the fact that the baby was just left asleep in her car seat? Besides all of that, were her ears covered with a blanket? A party of that caliber requires protective gear to block out the noise like the awesome headphones we've seen many a baby wear at concerts.

When Playmates are tweeting things like, Why the fuck does Kelsey Grammer have a baby at the Playboy Mansion? you know he's done something wrong.

So, spill it! What do you think of Kelsey's Playboy baby and his reasoning?

Justin Timberlake's Response to the Homeless Video

I was certainly surprised by this one.

Justin Timberlake's Response to the Homeless Video

So, as I'm sure you're already aware, JT and Jessica Biel got married two weeks ago, but the big buzz was around a supposed video shown at the wedding. Well, Justin was quick to react and his response was surprising.

On his website, JT has published a letter apologizing for the tasteless video, he has assured us that it wasn't shown AT the wedding and said he felt the need to take personal responsibility for the video—even though he didn't ask for it or make it. Upon first reading, I really felt like it was an "I'm sorry you got offended" type apology as opposed to "I'm sorry this happened" and it totally rubbed me the wrong way. But, my friends all chimed in on Twitter (bless you) and I think the problem I really have with it is that he shouldn't have had to apologize at all.

He didn't make it, didn't ask for it and certainly didn't need to apologize for it.

At the end of the letter, JT throws in a little post script: "P.S. You can bet your ass that I'm having my friend do at least 100 hours of community service...BOOM."

I think this should have been what the letter was about. Not about taking responsibility for this jerk's actions, but about how Justin thinks it's important that his friend learn from his mistake and go work with homeless people. Maybe even the same people he took advantage of.

Although, I must say, I love the fact that Justin is making his friend do the service. I hope we get an update on the guy's time.

So, spill it! What do you think of JT's apology?

Justin and Jessica Get Married

And two *Nsync members get snubbed on invites!

Justin and Jessica Get Married

As I'm sure you're all aware by now, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot last weekend at the Borgio Engazia resort in Southern Italy. The wedding reportedly cost the couple 6.5 million dollars. I'll let that settle for a moment. 6.5 million. Dollars. For a wedding. The bride wore cotton-candy pink (Giambattista Valli and as a pink-bride myself, I loved it), the groom wore custom Tom Ford and Justin apparently serenaded his bride with a yet-to-be-released song as she walked down the aisle (please let this part be true! More singing Justing please!). The important and juicy tidbit to me, however, is that only 2 of Justin's 4 other *Nsync bandmates were actually invited to the wedding. And I was surprised at who was, and who wasn't invited.

Both Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez were at the celebrations this weekend, while Lance Bass and Joey Fatone were snubbed.

If anything, I would have expected it to be the other way around, completely, but a source who spoke with Us Weekly claims that Justin "hates Lance now." No reason given as to why no Fatone, though.

Apparently, the wedding had lots of little fancy touches, too, although, they did recite hand-written vows to each other. And apparently, the dessert for the night was affogato—chocolate gelato topped with a shot of espresso (read DELISH).

Something not so romantic, however, is the 8:30 video made by Timberlake's friend, Justin Hutchel, and played at the wedding. Hutchel went around LA asking homeless people to wish the couple well and apologize that they couldn't be in attendance. Gawker has part of the video. I am not sure that this is how the other half should be living, you know? Seems mean spirited to do at a wedding of all places.

Lots of people have weighed in on Biel's dress too—many hate the cotton candy confection. But I love it.

And here's why:

It might not be a custom Valli, but it's a Cabaret Vintage number that stole my heart the moment I set eyes on it.

Pink brides unite!

So, spill it! What do you think of Timberbiel's over-the-top wedding and Jessica's pink gown? Did their friend, Justin Hutchel go too far with his "congratulations" video played at the reception?
