Monster High Be Scareful What You Wish For!

Though my guy is still a little young, I know all about Monster High. And anyone with a tween probably does, too. We are a big Halloween-spooky-scary house (Matt and Henry both love horror movies, and I am sort of zombie obsessed), and Monster High hits all those things, but also is pretty wickedly filled with girl power! With characters like Frankie Stein, Claude Wolfe and Venus McFlytrap, the world of Monster High is a fun way to introduce kids to the classic horror movie characters we all know but with that modern twist that seems to speak to many kids today.

Now that Halloween season is upon us (don't scoff, it's only 5 weeks away!), Mattel is releasing a new Monster High movie, Scareful What You Wish For to introduce a new character, Clawdeen Wolf's sister Howleen. The story goes like this: Howleen is just starting at monster high and wants to be as popular as her sister, so with the help of a genie, she gets 13 wishes granted. She becomes popular, but at what cost? The neat thing here is that it's teaching kids that it's not always about our perceptions of what we want, but that sometimes, it's better to look at the overall picture and how we fit in than trying to change who we are to be someone else's ideal.

And we're giving away one Be Scareful What You Wish For Prize pack, valued at $150! You'll receive a copy of Be Scareful What You Wish for as well as a collection of Monster High dolls!
