How to Get Everything Your Baby Needs for Free

Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in a person's life, but it's also one of the most expensive. Oy Vey! The amount of "stuff" you need to buy to help keep your baby safe, happy, clean, busy, relaxed, comfortably dressed, and inspired can set a new family back thousands of dollars. (By the way, that disappearing wad of cash actually never stops disappearing once you're a parent.)

Imagine what it would be like to be seven months pregnant, surrounded by friends and family at your gender reveal party, when there's a knock on the door. You answer it and find a bunch of goofy, extremely excited strangers holding all kinds of boxes, gift bags, and balloons.

You'd find that kind of weird, right? Well, imagine that one of the strangers asks you to step out of the house, only for you to be presented with the keys to a brand new Ford Flex!

That was just the beginning of the long list of prizes awarded to the parents-to-be Kristine - a nurse, and Corey - a firefighter and 911 dispatcher, who were winners of last year's Canada's Luckiest Baby contest.

Kristine and Corey stood there, laughing hysterically (I think they were in shock) as they were presented with a $10,000 RESP, a family trip to Orlando, a $500 shopping spree, new car seat, new stroller, and a $2,000 travel voucher. YMC topped it all off with a Canon Digital SLR camera to capture all the fun they’re going to have with their soon to be baby boy Landon.
