Clearly a cry for advertising help

by: Emily Chung

Hey, if you can't sell the car based on its own merit why not show a guy diving right into a girl's huge cleavage? Watch this Fiat ad.

Why Do You Like Your Technician?

It's really about service

by: Emily Chung

When you ask men why they like their auto service tech (a.k.a. mechanic), they'll usually respond with the fact that their tech fixed the car right, they know what they're doing, the price was reasonable, etc. When you ask women why they didn't like their tech, it's usually because they weren't treated right, the repairs weren't explained adequately, they felt ripped off, etc.

The Face, The Voice, The Blog!

Emily is a wife and mother of two perpetually energetic young boys (’06 & ’07). When she’s not crashing and zooming toy cars at home, she’s busy managing her business (AutoNiche – an auto repair shop in Markham, Ontario) and working on cars as an auto service technician apprentice. And it’s a bonus that her two boys love cars… as she’s subliminally getting them ready to work at her shop (labour is fair trade for all the food they’ll consume when they’re teenagers, right?!).  Emily is a Certified Child Car Seat Technician and has appeared on Breakfast Television, the Marilyn Denis Show and Yummy Mummy Club TV. She is passionate about her work; together with her staff, AutoNiche’s purpose is to bring better communication and client service to the auto repair experience.

While on maternity leave with her second child, she pursued the Auto Service Technician apprenticeship program at Centennial College. She placed second in her class and received the Toronto Automotive Dealers Association apprentice scholarship.  All this while maintaining her marriage, raising a toddler and nursing an infant—thank goodness she’s wired to multi-task! She also holds a degree from the University of Waterloo in Psychology and Business, and her previous jobs include Psychometrist and Human Resources Associate.

You spend a lot of time on those four wheels…interested in getting to know your ‘partner’ a bit better?
