The thing about best friends is that sometimes you can’t imagine life without your best friend, and other times you wish they’d never shown up. Best friends build you up, bring you down, make you feel awesome and give you a shot of reality.
That’s kind of why Pinterest and Christmas go so well together.
Every day my social media feeds are filled with photos and videos of Christmas perfection. Food, decorating and crafts that would make Martha proud.
And then there are people like me, with photos of something entirely different.
Actor and LGBT activist George Takei is well known not only for his Star Trek character Mr. Sulu, but most recently for his amazing power on social media. With over 4.4 million Facebook fans and almost 800,00 Twitter followers, Takei’s force is the stuff of legends.
I’ve said it before, Instagram is one of my favourite photography apps. It’s safe to say I love it, and judging from my Instagram profile page, it ranks right up there with Pinterest on the GigaMom addiction scale.
As part of The Best Job Evah, I use a huge range of social media platforms every day. Hands down, two of my favourites are Instagram and Pinterest. As it turns out, both of these faves made some changes this week that have users clapping and smiling.
