As a professional make up artist I rely on many tricks to create flawless finishes which last for hours and hours on the skin.
Of course I have access to a great many tools and products the average consumer doesn't usually buy or know how to use. However, most consumers want the same flawless finish with their make up as can be created by a professional.
To all the regular readers of Beauty: BUSTED! I am sorry I have been absent for a little while. My travel schedule has been punishing. I am glad to be back, though. And with so many great new things to share with you.
This week: BB Creams.

“What’s the big deal about BB creams? Are they everything they are touted to be?”
Every year I travel to Paris. I am typing this from my friend's apartment in the 18th. I travel to Paris for many reason—some personal, some business, and some for inspiration. Paris never disappoints my creative soul. There is a reason great artists and great writers flock to this city (historically and in modern times).
Warm weather means a change in everything, lighter hair colour, lighter fabrics for clothes and certainly (hopefully?) a lighter schedule to enjoy the sunny days ahead.
This past weekend I had the privilege of working with some very talented cosmetics professionals.
I was asked to give a workshop to help hone their make up artistry skills and I have to say it was a pleasure to be in the company of such eager and excited people. One of my favourite joys is to teach. It reminds me of all the fun the beauty industry offers.
One topic that came up, more than once, was the difficulty in matching foundation shades for their clients.
