I wasn't planning on making my summer music playlists until the middle of June but...
A. I am so very over winter already. I'm done with the snow, the cold, the windchill and the freezing rain.
B. I keep getting newsletters on the fabulous spring/summer 2012 shoe and fashion collections from various designers and stores and it makes my heart long for the days where the white stuff is non-existant.
So today is a snow day in Ottawa—so while I'm facing the reality of 15-20cm of snow and freezing rain—I'll keep my sanity with thoughts of relaxing on a giant hammock by a pool with some fruity drink [with the required umbrella] in hand, listening to music.
So this morning I searched my iPod for anything that qualified as summer music...the kind that takes you on a blissful musical journey. That is until the kiddies wake you up from that laid-back zoned-out trance with calls of 'I'm bored...'
I have too many 'summer songs' to mention them all, but here are some of my favourite tracks that always make me think warm sun, sounds of birds, walking barefoot through the grass and running though the sprinkler just for fun...
