So, after receiving requests on Facebook and Twitter for a new workout playlist . . . here it is.
A mix of old and new—all to get you inspired as you sweat it out in the name of fitness.

So, apparently March is the month for vasectomies.
Really. I've heard more about vasectomies in the last few weeks than I have all year. With that said, I've had friends, YMC readers, and Twitter followers ask me about the Songs for A Vasectomy playlist I did two years ago.
So, here's a re-post of that blog I did on June 10, 2010. Because every event in life needs a playlist. Power to the bag of frozen peas.
------
I wasn't planning on making my summer music playlists until the middle of June but...
A. I am so very over winter already. I'm done with the snow, the cold, the windchill and the freezing rain.
B. I keep getting newsletters on the fabulous spring/summer 2012 shoe and fashion collections from various designers and stores and it makes my heart long for the days where the white stuff is non-existant.
As we kick start a new month, I figured a new workout playlist was in order...really it's any excuse for me to spend time listening to music.
But I digress.
Turn up the volume, curse under your breath and work up that sweat...even though most of us hate doing it.
So here is some new music to add to your current workout playlist because music is a great motivator...especially when you'd rather be sitting your ass on the couch, in your sweats, eating ketchup chips and Skor bars instead of working out (so not talking about myself...yes, yes I am).
The long weekend is just around the corner and I predict many a backyard BBQs (assuming one Mother Nature contains her temper and isn't PMSing)...
So here is a playlist that will get you through the holiday and provide some tunes for those BBQ get-togethers with family and friends.
To the Canadian YMC readers, I hope you have a fabulous Canada Day and to our readers south of the border, have a fantastic 4th of July. Salute!
So today's playlist is all things hip hop with a little rap thrown in for good measure.
This playlist came about when one @slypigjeff sent me this gem of a tweet yesterday "Please don't use hip hop and music in the same sentence."
So his Twitter mission to annoy me at all times aside (yes I follow him and yes we're friends), I decided that it was time to expand his 'Journey and Faith No More' musical spectrum.
So get your best swagger going and immerse yourself all things East Coast/West Coast hip hop yo.
Here are some new tracks to add to that workout playlist...remember no excuses!
