Since I am sooooo officially over *&^%$#@! winter already I have vowed to hibernate until Spring actually arrives (and by that I mean the snow completely disappears).
With that said my self-imposed hibernation has left with me with much time on my hands to surf the net and find new music for my iPod. And since I'm in a sharing mood I'm giving you some of my latest musical finds.
The Ottawa electro-indie rock band FEVERS have just released their debut album, 'No Room For Light' (available on iTunes).
It was produced in Ottawa and Toronto by acclaimed producer Laurence Currie (Sloan, Wintersleep, Hey Rosetta!), and has already been picked up by CBC Music as a must listen: "It’s a challenging thing to make a care-free dance rock album while carefully stepping through a maze of wires and cables on a studio floor. Ottawa’s Fevers has accomplished that feat on their debut album, No Room for Light."
Fevers are an Ottawa-based five-piece musical unit, who describe themselves as "purveyors of independent electronic pop."
Their music is a fresh take on the classic genre, combining indie rock and electronic music. They built on the work of M83, Passion Pit and The Postal Service and developed their own distinct modern sound...and they do it well.

'I don't know who these Sounds Under Radio folk are trying to fool, but that is a big-time rock 'n' roll band masquerading as some unsigned indie-emo whatsits' ~Entertainment Weekly
I first heard this band months back after a random late night viewing of the CW show, The Vampire Diaries...needless to say this Austin-based Britrock-esque trio had me hooked from the first listen.
