I've blogged about Matthew Mayfield a few times here on the Bsides....he is hands down one of my all-time favourite singer/songwriters out there in music land.
Yesterday on Twitter, Eric Alper tweeted this . . .
@ThatEricAlper Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong played Mark Zuckerberg's wedding. If you could have any musician play at your wedding, who would it be?
Needless to say, it got my attention and got me thinking. Hmmmm.....
So here are some 'I've gotta see that again' videos with a musical slant that I came across this week while wasting time....umm researching on the web.
Anna Graceman, 11 ~ America's Got Talent 2011, Atlanta Auditions
Where the Streets Have No Name - U2 cover - by Matthew Mayfield
And the tears come streaming down your face, When you lose something you can't replace ~Coldplay 'Fix You"
Last week tornadoes tore through the southern US, including Alabama, leaving a wake of destruction.
Earlier this week, on Facebook, Matthew Mayfield posted this video saying that he would be singing it for his homestate of Alabama as they try to recover from the devastation left behind from the tornadoes.
Earlier this week I wrote a feature on one of my favourite singer/songwriters on my iPod - Matthew Mayfield....he's crazy talented at crafting a beautiful song that gets you 'right there' every single time you listen and the fact that he's ummm dreamy....easy on the eyes...well it's an added bonus.
