Splash'N Boots

Children's Group Of The Year Nominees

Hot off the heels of a cross-Canada theatre tour with Treehouse LIVE, cutting-edge children's performers, Splash'N Boots, are nominated for the SiriusXM Indie Awards' prestigious title of 2012 Children's Group of the Year.

With their infectious music video, “For the Love of Dance,” airing nationally on Treehouse TV, Splash'N Boots need public votes to reclaim the title of 2012 Children's Group of the Year, for which they were crowned back in 2007.

Voting is open right up until Friday, March 23, 2012. Vote here.

Now in its twelfth year, the SiriusXM Indie Awards will take place in Toronto, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, on Saturday, March 24, 2012.

“It's an honour to be nominated again for Children's Group of the Year,” says Taes, the group's 'Boots.' "Having our work recognized by our peers means so much to us.”

“This award is so important to us because the fans have such a big say in it,” says Nick, the group's 'Splash.' “We've always had supportive fans and we're happy they get to be part of the voting process.”

With five CDs and two full-length DVDs under their belts, as well as over one thousand international festival and theatre performances, there is no sign of slowing down for this young husband and wife team.

Currently writing their sixth album, the new ten-song compilation will be based solely on fan feedback. For the next month, fans can help Splash'N Boots write song titles, lyrics, and even the album name, via their Facebook page.

With a portion of all proceeds going to Sick Kids Hospital, fans will also be asked to submit artwork, which will make up the CD's booklet, making this album the ultimate fan/band collaboration.

In addition to their music video currently on heavy rotation on Treehouse TV, the duo also landed an additional four music videos, as well as four half-hour episodes of Roll Play that will air on the popular children’s network for the next six years.
