Last week tornadoes tore through the southern US, including Alabama, leaving a wake of destruction.
Earlier this week, on Facebook, Matthew Mayfield posted this video saying that he would be singing it for his homestate of Alabama as they try to recover from the devastation left behind from the tornadoes.
As the Alabama Emergency Management Agency continues to assess the the extent of the destruction, they estimate the death toll is at 327 people for the state of Alabama alone.
Matthew's rendition of Coldplay's 'Fix You' is pure and stripped down. It's as beautiful as it is haunting and the emotion reaches you right to your core.
And the lyrics? Well they are the perfect tribute to those left struggling to rebuild their lives.
