Every July, San-Francisco based jewellry company Stella & Dot hosts their annual conference, appropriately named Hoopla! 2011 marked the fourth anniversary of this spectacular event that would bring together 2000 women from all-over North America to celebrate the launch of the Fall line with a glamorous fashion show, in-depth product knowledge sessions and incredible sales and business training culminating in an all-out awards gala complete with hip DJ spinning until all hours.
Hats are cute: they look cool and keep you cool. A hat is sun smart: summer’s UV rays have already climbed to 8 and higher this year. And, most importantly, a hat covers all manners of evils where hair is concerned.
But perhaps it’s time we say goodbye to the calling card of unwashed hair everywhere: The Baseball Cap.
For as long as I can remember, Iʼve been interested in fashion. Barbies, paper dolls and sketches of the perfect princess dress with puffed sleeves littered my childhood bedroom.
What seems like a lifetime ago, I even had a career in the apparel industry. It was incredibly fun and fast-paced with lots of long hours and, oh, man, did it ever pay terribly! The decision to leave it all behind and start my family was an incredibly easy one.
