It's important to get into a bit of routine for back to school. It helps with getting the kids in the school mode as well as organizing yourself into the school grind. The lunch boxes. The school bus pick up. The field trip forms.
Here are a few tried-and-true tips to help with back-to-school:
SHOP 9a.m.-11a.m.: Kids are well rested in the morning, and there are less people in stores—take advantage of both by shopping early. Stick to getting out by 11a.m., when the stores get more crowded.
TAKE SNACKS: One of the best ways to keep kids occupied while you shop is to feed them.
The right babysitter is a tough find. (Aside: The "right" babysitter is not always the best, nor cheapest, nor the one that is available...the "right" babysitter is the one that is right for you and your family). I have had some rights and wrongs when it comes to babysitters.
