I don’t know about you, but my outfits have been dictated by The Weather Network for a couple of weeks and the thought of trying to put together another cute cold-weather outfit is almost too much.
You can look hot and stay warm while you’re braving the cold weather and the best part is it’s not even hard! Knits, lots of layers and cute cold-weather accessories are your best friend while we wait for the cold weather to pass and spring to save us from the shovels.
Layer a great knit over your favourite Oxford blouse, throw in a great pair of skinny jeans or trousers and a pair of tall boots for a simple but stylish outfit for a day at the office or the mall. Add boot socks and a great statement necklace for interest, a cute beanie and scarf for warmth and bundle up in your warmest coat.
Not so much into pants? No biggie. Pants are overrated anyway. Before you think about wearing a skirt or dress, be sure to pick up some fleece-lined tights to keep your legs toasty! Wear your favourite sweater dress or pair a cable-knit sweater or turtleneck with a great wool-blend skirt, add boots and take on the world.
Or, keep warm and look awesome while grabbing coffee by pairing some (grippy-soled) ankle boots and boyfriend and top it off with a great sweater. Grab your scarf, hat and a heavy coat and you’re good to go!
And when all else fails, remember warmth is key. Fashion rules can totally be bent when it’s -25 out there. Goggles can be excused.
