At the 2012 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in New York City this week, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the biggest prize of the night—Womenswear Designers Of The Year for their high-end fashion line, The Row. 

So, here's the thing.

Not matter how much I try or have tried, I cannot not love the pint-sized duo. 

I look at them, and their bag-lady boho-chic style, and I want to not love them. I want to encourage them to smile more and to stop fake tanning. I want to either lower their hemlines, or raise them up a little bit. I want to encourage them to stand straight. 

And yet.

I absolutely love everything about them, fake tans, bad posture, non-smiles and all. 

I love that they are who they are, and they don't really care what you have to say about it.

I love that even when designers say that they are kind of pain to work with, they always exhale and admit that, yes, they are demanding and exacting, but they are also very good at what they do. 

I love that even though they give very boring and dull interviews and kind of always seem a little bit high, they still sound smart. 

I love that after spending their entire childhoods tag-teaming the role of Michelle on Full House, they managed to shed their little girl cutesy image and build themselves a ridiculously successful empire and have managed to prove themselves as smart businesswomen and as fashion icons. As former child stars, they certainly have managed—surprisingly—to stay out of too much trouble. (And we are just going to forget that New York Minute movie...mmmkay?)

I kind of want to be them when I grow up.

Even though they are only almost 26.
