You know you're an allergy parent when you get super excited to hear about peanut-free nuts. That's right. This is what constitutes excitement in the life of someone allergic to peanuts, but not other nuts, you know why? Because nuts hang out with nuts, so cross-contamination is a pretty real risk in these cases. My son's allergic to peanuts and a bunch of other nuts I don't even pay attention to for exactly this reason—because it doesn't really matter which ones he's not allergic to, when they're all processed together anyhow. But for those allergic to only peanuts, having these safe options is fantastic!
When my friend Krista from Life in the Hutch tagged me on Facebook saying she had discovered these peanut-free nuts, I knew I had to share it with you all! You can tell how excited we are about this kind of thing, because she took these three pictures for me to share. How totally awesome is this?
And they're gluten-free, too! (I don't actually know the risks of gluten contamination with nuts, but I'm always happy to see these things listed anyhow!)
