Walmart brand Great Value has two sets of candy cane packages, both labelled "Peanut Free" on the front, but they warn, "May contain tree nuts" on the back of the package.
Below are two photos provided by Anaphylaxis Canada showing which packages are of concern. The labelling is "technically" correct, because they're peanut-free, but this will definitely cause confusion for tree nut allergy sufferers.
Always be diligent in reading the entire package for warnings, and please pass this along!
