Jill Duggar Saving 'Kissing' For Marriage

But she did indulge in some hand-holding

Jill Duggar Saving 'Kissing' For Marriage

Jill Duggar is getting married

One of the Duggar girls is engaged, yet she's in no hurry to consummate her relationship. Jill Duggar and fiance Derick Dillard are reportedly taking things so slow that they won't even kiss until their wedding day.

"We're just really trying to keep our relationship focused not on the physical but really just more on communication and continuing to learn more about each other," said 22-year-old Duggar.

According to an article in GMA, TLC's '19 Kids & Counting' star Jill is enjoying an old-fashioned courtship that has probably left even her parents, Jim and Michelle, a bit baffled.

After all, the Duggars themselves admitted to going "farther than we should have" and making "some mistakes" in their courtship, though they too saved sex for marriage.

Of course the Duggars aren't advocating anything new, but simply embracing the wholesome values of a time when there was "less teen pregnancy and when the divorce rate was a lot lower."

Is there any merit in chastity? Do you think the Duggar way will inspire any other young adults?

What's the big deal about these purity balls everyone's talking about?

Hate How You Look In Selfies?

There's an app for that

Hate How You Look In Selfies?

selfie app

Hate how you look in selfies? Wouldn't it be great if you could just shave off those pernickety phantom pounds at the click of a button? Now you can. Except like all things that sound too good to be true, SkinneePix is no exception.

According to an article in the Guardian, although the new app gives you the option to magically ditch 5, 10 or even 15 lbs, that's not to say your selfies will be drastically improved.

"You've always heard about the camera adding 15 pounds, we just wanted to level the playing field," said Skinnee creator, Susan Green.

In the age of air-brushing, celebrities look perfect on Instagram, so why can't you, goes the logic. The software isn't complicated, but the proof as they say is in the pout.

And if the Guardian writers are anything to go by, I think I'll keep my money in my pocket, thanks.

"The closest I've ever come to looking like this before was after a severe bout of tonsillitis," quipped one of the writers giving the app a test run. Skinnee managed to make even a healthy 24 year old look gaunt. And besides, the app doesn't work for group shots, so basically you're screwed if you happen to find yourself at the Oscars, say, or sandwiched between a bunch of world leaders...

Instead of all these tricks with smoke and mirrors, why don't we do something radical and spend on our cold cash on healthy food and exercise?

Sorry, Skineepix, your "little secret" is out. Want my free selfie tip? To instantly look younger, tilt your head back a bit and smile.

Pennsylvania Stabbing Victim Posts Selfie From Hospital

stabbing victim selfie

A horrific stabbing spree has just occurred at a Pennsylvania high school, but that hasn't stopped one teen from posting a selife on Instagram from the hospital where he was being treated for knife wounds.

According to an article in NBC, Nate Scimio was hailed a hero by classmates for sounding the fire alarm at Franklin Regional Senior High School in Murrysville, and urging students to flee the building while an unnamed male student went on a stabbing rampage that injured nineteen students and a security guard.

Described simply as "really shy," the perpetrator is a 16-year-old sophomore, who was taken into custody after being tackled by the vice principal. Details in this story are still emerging.
