Did Beyonce Deign To Photoshop Her Thighs?

What Do You Think?

Did Beyonce Deign To Photoshop Her Thighs?

beyonce thigh gap

It must suck to be a starlet in the age of Tumblr and Instagram. Then again, no one forces the likes of Beyonce to post pictures of themselves frolicking on a luxurious golf course... Cue rumours that the singer and all-around diva had her thighs Photoshopped.

According to an article in the Huffington Post, the photos have prompted lots of media gossip because of the unnatural way Beyonce's thigh looks altered in one of the published images.

Of course no one should care. Then again, when some women—young and old—are watching and starving to achieve the coveted thigh gap, such digital deception is kind of insidious.

Beyonce works hard for her bodacious body. Let no mortal tamper with that, I say! Ditto to those Kardashians.

Here's a young celebrity knows how to keep it real on social media.

This Photoshop botch job got this company a lot of unwanted attention.

Girl Goes From 0-14 In Amazing 4-Minute Timelapse

A Whole lotta lotte

Girl Goes From 0-14 In Amazing 4-Minute Timelapse

video of child's life

Doting Dutch daddy Frans Hofmeester didn't need to bother with photographs of his daughter. In one of the most amazing timelapses we've seen, Hofmeester filmed Lotte each week from birth to just before her 14th birthday last October.

The results, courtesy of the Mirror, are a stunning depiction of child development. In just four minutes, Lotte transforms from a chubby cheeked baby to a cute toddler, blossoming from a preschooler into a tween. Fast forward different hair styles, missing/new teeth, and orthodontics.

The video is a nostalgic reminder of how fast they grow, and how you just want to hold onto each stage a little bit longer. And of course, wishing you'd had the tenacity and creativity to capture your own kids as poignantly as Hofmeester has.

This dad shot a similar video, using photos of his son, until he turned 21. Now that's commitment!

Any YMCers out there created timelapse videos of your children?

Ontario To Fund IVF Treatment

Cause for celebration or consternation?

Ontario To Fund IVF Treatment

ivf

The province of Ontario has followed Quebec's lead in funding one cycle of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) for people struggling to become pregnant.

According to an article in the National Post, the government will limit the treatment to implanting a single embryo in order to avoid the risk of multiple births.

Patients opting for private IVF typically have two or more embryos transplanted in order to increase the odds of pregnancy. This practice has resulted in a great increase in the number of multiple births—and a greater burden on the healthcare system.

“Supporting the safe use of modern IVF treatment will result in fewer high risk pregnancies—while at the same time helping thousands of Ontarians realize their dream of having their own family,” said the Ontario Health Minister, Deb Matthews.

Currently the cost of IVF is exorbitant at around $10,000 per cycle, causing many people to delve into debt to realize their dreams of starting a family.

Under the new policy, some 4,000 people would receive free IVF. A move that some criticize as a waste of tax-paying dollars. But Ontario, perhaps, is taking a long view, given that since Quebec adopted this single-embryo policy, the number of multiple births has dropped from 30% to 7.9%, slashing the province's health costs.

However, funding raised more questions than it answered, such as should eligibility extend to "single mothers, same-sex couples and others with no medical infertility"? Should the province cap the number of procedures available?

What do you think of government-funded IVF? Cause for celebration or consternation?
