Justin Bieber Sparks Outrage At Anne Frank's House

It's All about you, isn't it bieber?

Justin Bieber Sparks Outrage At Anne Frank's House

Justin Bieber did it again. He opened his pretty 19-year-old trap, and said something that pissed a bunch of people off. This time, according to an article in the BBC, the Canadian pop star left a silly comment while visiting the Amsterdam house where Holocaust victim Anne Frank's family hid from the Nazis.

"Truly inspiring to be able to come here," he wrote in the guestbook of what is now a tourist destination. "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."

Totally flippant and insensitive, but can we expect more from a teen pop idol?

The museum, which admitted the singer's comments "weren't very sensible," leaked the note on their Facebook page after Bieber's visit as part of his tour.

Teenager Anne Frank famously kept a diary for two years that she and her family spent holed up in the house to escape Nazi capture. She was ultimately captured and killed, at 15, in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945.

"He's 19," said museum spokeswoman Maatje Mostart. "It's a crazy life he's living, he didn't mean bad… and also it's nice that he made the effort, he didn't have to come."

Is Bieber really that self-involved, or is he consistently saying dumb things in order to generate publicity for himself? Time for everyone to stop 'beliebing' and move on...

Added Placebo Pills

RECALL: Alysena-21 and Alysena-28 Birth Control

For those of you on birth control, please note that Health Canada has recalled an additional 11 lots of the Alysena-28 pills manufactured by Apotex Inc after lot LF01899A was found to contain extra placebo pills, thereby increasing the risk of unplanned pregnancy in users.

The affected lots are as follows:

  • LF01901A
  • LF01980A
  • LF02037A
  • LF01900A
  • LF01982A
  • LF01981A
  • LF02026A
  • LF01898A
  • LF02036A
  • LF01894B
  • LF01979A

According to the Huffington Post article, only one of the four rows of pills should be the white placebos.

Canadians affected by this recall are advised to use another method of contraception. Users should return the pills and contact their health care provider for medical advice.

Please note that Alysena-21, though manufactured at the same facility, is unaffected by the recall, as these packets do not contain a row of placebo pills.

Users are advised to make sure their packs of Alysena-21 contain three rows of active (pink) pills, and to report any problems regarding both Alysena-28 or 21 to Health Canada.

Superhero Dad Kills Gender Stereotypes Dead

You Don't want to be a mommy

Superhero Dad Kills Gender Stereotypes Dead

OK, so I'll admit, I'd never heard of Sofia that First before now. I don't have a daughter. But then again, neither did the dad who has been hailed as pure awesome after his story eventually went viral on Reddit.

According to the article in Huffington Post, this is what went down. A dad was in a big box store checkout when his son Sam begged him for a "Sofia the First" DVD. We've all been there, right?

The dad politely reminded Sam that he already had a gazillion-and-one DVDs at home when one customer chimed in that anyway, Sofia is 'girl stuff' and proceeded to take his ignorance to the next illogical conclusion.

I won't spoil the outcome for you so do read below to see that magic does sometimes happen, and not just to Disney characters—though they can clearly be catalysts, as in this case.

Many shout outs to the anon dad and to the anon older woman for setting the record straight. Ever witnessed a superhero parent in action? Spill it. We love being inspired.
