The Tot Who's Met 130 Celebs

Cuddled With Elton

The Tot Who's Met 130 Celebs

For a one-year-old, she sure gets around. Already Tyler Sercombe has met an estimated 130 A-list celebrities, including Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep. But unlike this woman, this nipper's close encounters of the celeb kind were far from coincidental.

She's been cuddled with Elton and swayed in the arms of Tom Hanks. Her first star-studded encounter, Liz Hurley, held Tyler when she was only a month old, at the premiere of Gnomeo & Juliet in London's Leicester Square.

Film buff mom Donna, 31, reckons she's taken Tyler to around 60 premieres in total. Being in a wheelchair for a 'pain condition' affords Donna good access at red carpet events.

While babies are portable enough, premieres don't let out until late and typically involve hours of waiting around, in all kinds of weather. And the crowds around Leicester Square get pretty heavy.

Doubtless the photos make for a cute souvenir, yet today's celebrities will surely be tomorrow's has-beens. When Tyler grows up, will she actually care half as much about this posturing as her star-drunk mom?

Possible Choking Hazard

RECALL: Dora, Spider-Man, Sesame Street Water Bottles

Health Canada has recalled the following plastic water bottles with Dora the Explorer, Spider-Man or Sesame Street motifs, as the stopper on the water bottle spout can detach, causing a potential choking hazard.

Although no injury was reported, Health Canada is aware of one complaint related to the product.

Customers should immediately dispose of recalled bottles.

For further information, customers can contact Dollarama by telephone at 1-888-755-1006 or by e-mail.

From December 2007 to December 2011, approximately 348,000 of the recalled water bottles were sold in Canada.

Breastfeeding Pics Pulled From Facebook

Sexually Explicit Content?

Breastfeeding Pics Pulled From Facebook

By now you've heard that a Vancouver mom had her Facebook account blocked after she posted photos of herself breastfeeding on the social networking site.

For 33-year-old Emma Kwasnica, it wasn't the first time Facebook removed personal photos or froze her account because of photos it deemed to contain sexually explicit content.

What you may not know is that since she joined the site in 2008, almost 30 of Kwasnica's breastfeeding snaps were pulled in four separate incidents. It may be just me, but why would you want to share photos of your breasts online, with acquaintances, friends, colleagues, Tom, Dick and Harry?

While Kwasnica is right that there is nothing explicit about breastfeeding photographs (heck, I even have some my own), it makes you wonder why so many, why so public?

“This is a child’s right to eat, a mother’s right to nurse her child,” she told the Star recently. A Facebook page was set up in support of Kwasnica, and had already drawn 3,500 supporters.

Apparently Facebook's policy is a little murky these days, with content police struggling to get its priorities straight. While it allows breastfeeding photos to be posted on the site, it does not allow "a fully exposed breast" -- be it attached to a babe or not.

I think we safely agree that breastfeeding -- and breasts for that matter -- are not pornographic. Perhaps it's a question of time and place. And, to my mind at least, Facebook isn't that place.
