Save Money and the Environment in Your Kitchen

If the meat you buy at the grocery store comes in styrofoam packaging, buy the largest one possible. This way, over time you'll end up buying fewer packages and cut down on styrofoam.

If you freeze your meat in batches, consider using plastic containers instead of sealing machines or Ziploc bags. You will cut down on non-recyclable plastics. Use containers that match your meat in size and pack them to the rim to avoid freezer burn. Your meat will keep well for at least 1 month.
