For my family of six, road trips equal fun, chaos, and a messier-than-normal mini-van.
To curb the mess and save money at the same time, I always have a stack of cone-shaped coffee filters in the glove box. I buy large bags of snacks like pretzels, trail mix, or popcorn and fill up a cone filter with the mixed yummies for each of my little guys. This is so much cheaper than buying individual bags of snacks, and when they are done they use the filter to wipe their messy faces, or to re-fill again when we stop to re-fuel!
