I recently took my car in for an oil change, and the service rep suggested that I get my headlights polished so that they look like new again and not yellowed (my car is a 2000). They wanted $70 for this. I declined, and thank goodness I did! For when I returned home, my mother told me that if I just rubbed them with toothpaste, they would be as clear and shiny as they were when they were brand new. Of course I didn't believe her, so sure enough she got out the toothpaste, and five minutes later I had brand new looking headlights! A huge saving of money and a brighter set of lights for chauffeuring around my family. I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes!
