My tip will save time AND money over a period of time. For years now, I've stopped buying freezer bags, and use empty milk bags instead. When the milk is all gone, cut open the top of the bag—where the opening is—wash well with hot soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry. These bags are strong and perfect for freezing anything, from meat and poultry portions to veggies, grated cheese, and even butter portions already cut up into easy-to-use sections. Seeing that the cost of groceries has gone up, and you already pay for the milk, why not put the plastic bag to good use, as well?
